These two little dogs Minnie and Maisie have enriched my life so much I truly could not imagine them not being in it. I’m not sure everyone in the family agrees though ha ha!

My husband recently sold something online, I can’t remember exactly what it was but it was…delicate.
He spent ages trying to find the perfect box to put the said item in. He wrapped it in bubble wrap and placed in in the box carefully, making sure it wasn’t going to be thrashed around in any empty space within the box. He must have spent the best part of an hour faffing about, finally he sellotaped the box up and put the label on. He placed it on the stairs ready to take downstairs with him.

In the meantime …..guess who? …. Yep! Maisie … She came along and well, she spotted that lovely cardboard. She finds cardboard really tasty and loves to shred it up. She started on the corner, well why not, it was in line with her mouth when she sat next to it! She chewed it to a pulp and then found a little bit of sellotape that wasn’t quite stuck down. Silly hubby, he missed a bit!

She pulled it and peeled it off and the tape that was crossing over the top in the other direction came off too. Gosh she really was doing a good job ? she would soon have this box stripped, she was having a great time……until hubby came out of the bedroom and noticed all the shreds of wet cardboard and his beautifully wrapped parcel …decimated!

Maisie by this time had tape stuck to her all over and was trying to pull it off with her teeth (obviously, I Know) but when she clocked his face that was turning redder by the nano second she flew past him and knocked his parcel (well tatty box by now) down the stairs!
I cannot repeat what he said….there may be kids reading this but let’s just say it was not very nice!

It’s fair to say that since Minnie and Maisie came into my life, my brain has turned to mush! That’s not to say that given my time again that I wouldn’t have them and follow the exact path. I would definitely do it all again, I love them and they make me laugh out loud every single day.

We were going out in the car one day to somewhere we hadn’t been before. We stopped at the traffic lights at a Crossroads and we’re waiting for a green light. There was a shop on the corner in front of me and I was looking at the name of it and what it was selling. Above the door It said The word CAR then there was a little window then it said PETS. I sat puzzling looking at it and must have been frowning. Hubby said ‘what’s up’ and I said ‘what on earth is a car pet? What kind of animal would you put in a car other than a dog? How on earth can you have a shop and make money selling pets for cars? Would they be real…or stuffed? I couldn’t understand it when he started howling with laughter, really I couldn’t, I still didn’t twig! He was laughing so much he was crying, he had to pull the car over to stop and compose himself and still I didn’t get it…..he had to spell it out to me before I realised it was a carpet shop!!
So be warned, if your thinking of having a Minnie or Maisie your brain may turn to mush!
