Before the online, telephone and text competitions came about, I used to win a few prizes , I still buy the magazines and post them, but not won anything for years, I often wonder if they ever bother opening any envelopes. Since the answers are put online now, a lot of people don’t bother buying the magazines and newspapers, they just send the answers online.
I mostly enter on line but post sometimes if I have stamps left from Xmas. I dont know how they pick the winners. Maybe they should insist on post with the completed entry page at least people that buy the mag and buy a stamp would have more chance of winning. I still live in hope but have stopped chasing the postman down the road. I usually enter well before the closing date but will try entering a bit later, would be interesting to know their way of picking winners. Maybe they have to have winners from different parts of the country, I dont know, will keep entering until I get fed up or the weather gets better.
Hello Pearl,I absolutely agree with you ,like yourself I would enter competitions by post and win quite frequently.I now go months or years without a win.I have wondered if postal entries are opened and entered.I still buy the magazines and do the puzzles as I find it theraputic.Good luck and keep entering 😊😊👍👍
Hello Pearl.
I enter lots of competitions from magazines, newspapers, facebook and enter online and by post. I’ve won by both ways although I do enter more via online entries . Sometimes I do two entries one online & post one for the same competitions (2 chances of winning) but unfortunately I don’t know which entry was the winner.
Persistence pays…. You’ve got to be in to win..as they say.
Good Luck everyone. 🍀 hope you start receiving prizes.
