It is only indirectly relevant to Issue 40 but there is nowhere else to put it.
Issue 40 provides the answers to Issue 36. Regular contributors commented on Issue 36 agreeing that Puzzle 16 was expected to be declared void because the answer to every question was in the grid and there wasn’t a missing answer.
It wasn’t declared void though. In the answers now given to that puzzle was POLAND. That answer is in the grid reading downwards. The final D is the third letter from the right in the bottom row. It remains to be seen if there are any winners of the £500 prize.
