Cottage pie
Ingredients:
- 500g minced beef / steak
- large onion chopped
- can of tomatoes
- HP sauce (my magic ingredient)
- salt & pepper
- Pan of buttered mashed potatoes
Method:
Fry the onions for a couple of minutes then add the mince.
When they have cooked add the tomatoes and seasoning. Then add a big blob of HP sauce, you will be amazed at what this brings to the flavour of the dish!
When it’s all cooked, put in your dish and smother with the mashed potatoes.
Cook in a preheated oven 200° For 20 – 30 minutes.
This dish is so easy and can be prepared the day before so long as it’s kept covered with cling film & placed in the fridge.
