Apple & sultana clafoutis 



  • 75g plain flour
  • 75g caster sugar
  • 50g sultanas
  • 450g cooking apples
  • 10fl oz skimmed milk
  • 3 eggs
  • tsp cinnamon


Preheat your oven to 200°

Sieve the flour and put into a bowl with half the sugar.

Whisk in the eggs with half of the milk for at least a minute.

Stir in the remaining milk and blend to a smooth batter.

peel the apples and cut them into nice thick cliches and place them in a shallow pie dish.

Sprinkle the other half of the sugar over the apples and pour the batter on top.

Sprinkle the sultanas and cinnamon over the top and dunk them under the batter.

Bake for 30 – 40 minutes
